Open-Access: Some of you may have heard of open-access and closed-access WIFI internet service. An open-access WIFI internet service is the one we are looking for. Almost all hotels and high end restaurants have this type of free WIFI service. Almost all libraries and universities have free open-access internet service (WIFI). We can get access to these WIFI internet services 24-7 or for as long as they are open.

Closed-Access: Typically, these businesses and government buildings will also have a closed- access WIFI connection. You will need a security code or WEP Key to gain access. This connection is secured and only accessible to employees who have the security code or WEP Key. There are WEP key generators. But we won’t need them. There are plenty of free WIFI services available. These are the ones that we want.

Getting Connected: Most people will have at least 5-10 free Open-Access WIFI internet services available to them with in a 5-10 mile radius of their residence and business. I am going to show you how to get access to these free internet connections.

Finding Available Connections: You should go around your area with a WIFI laptop and check for available connections. Look for a minimum of five Open-Access points with line of sight to your intended location.

Overcoming The Signal Limitations: The problem with all WIFI internet cards to date is signal limitations. The average signal radius of PCI WIFI internet card to date is about 30 to 60 feet. There are some that have internal boosters. But, none of them will get you the king of signal distance that we are looking for, 5-10 miles.

WIFI Boosters: These long distance WIFI boosters are legal as long as they have an FCC number. You can make your make your own WIFI booster. WIFI boosters are not illegal to make. You can use them conspicuously. The laws revolved around WIFI are not as strict as with other radio frequencies, according to my licensed radio engineer associate. The laws are enforced when we sell these WIFI boosters or inventions that we make available to the general public with out an FCC number. Each invention (WIFI BOOSTER) needs its’ own FCC number before it can be sold legally on the open market.

Finding the Right Booster: Most FCC approved boosters will show their signal range marked on the box or in the instructions manuals. You can always ask the seller of the product. He’ll be glad to tell you. You can find FCC approved WIFI boosters on Ebay ranging between $79-$279 dollars. Make sure you get one with a 5-10 mile range.

A Complete System: Complete systems include a WIFI booster antenna a 30 to 50 foot cable, a repeater and a PCI or USB WIFI adapter with antenna connection. Ebay prices for complete system range from $200-$400 dollars.
